Political Protests are Right, but Political Leaders should Spearhead, Lead, Actively Participate and Provide Guidance - Haruna Abubakar Bebeji Last week Hundreds of women in Kano have marched to the State Police Command to protest the recent Court of Appeal judgment that nullified the election of the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf. The women carried placards condemning the judgment and urged the federal government to stop interfering in the Kano court case between the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC). Some of them sang songs in support of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and protested the alleged injustice done to the people of Kano state by the appellate court. There is no gainsaying the fact that, political protests are a crucial tool for citizens to express their dissatisfaction with the actions of the government or to advocate for change.
