The Truth Behind Kwankwaso's Recent Political Storms - Haruna Abubakar Bebeji 
Former Kano State Governor Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has found himself at the center of a political storm as demands for his resignation or suspension from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) continue to grow. Allegations of anti-party activities and his suspected intention to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have sparked widespread discontent among party members.

The growing dissatisfaction stems from Kwankwaso's alleged involvement in a crisis within the NNPP and his perceived prioritization of his own interests over those of the party and its members. The Forum of State Chairmen, representing various regions within the party, has called for transparency and accountability in order to uphold the values and integrity of the NNPP.

However, insider sources have revealed a different narrative. It is alleged that Kwankwaso himself orchestrated these demands in order to secure a smooth transition to the ruling party or to secure a government appointment. According to these sources, Kwankwaso requested the Forum of State Chairmen to accuse him of wrongdoing as a means to achieve his political objectives.

This revelation has caused further resentment and anger from elected senators and members of the National Assembly who supported Kwankwaso when he convinced them to abandon the APC and join the NNPP. These individuals now feel betrayed by Kwankwaso's alleged deception and manipulation, as they had vehemently opposed and attacked the APC and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, under his guidance.

This latest development once again exposes Kwankwaso's self-serving nature and his repeated disregard for the interests of others. His actions have not only undermined the NNPP and its members but have also raised questions about the dynamics between personal and political interests within Nigeria's political landscape.

The outcome of the demands for Kwankwaso's resignation or suspension will have far-reaching consequences for the NNPP and may shed light on the extent to which personal ambitions can affect political parties.
