GOV. AKY: PLEASE FULFILL YOUR PROMISE OF 100% FREE EDUCATION IN KANO STATE

Governor Abba K. Yusuf: The Promise Keeper, Please Fulfill Your Promise of Free Education - Haruna Abubakar Bebeji
In the realm of politics, it is not uncommon for leaders to make promises during election campaigns, only to forget them once they assume office. However, there are a few exceptional individuals who stand firm on their commitments. One such individual is Governor Abba K. Yusuf of Kano State. Since his assumption of office, Governor Abba Yusuf has consistently demonstrated his dedication to fulfilling the promises he made to the people of Kano State, be it through demolitions of illegally allocated structures even if fully developed and organizing mass weddings which is now in top gear.

One of such promises he made and fulfilled is demolition of the said illegally allocated properties by the previous administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. During his electioneering campaign, Governor Abba K. Yusuf pledged to address issues of corruption and illegal allocations of lands in the state. True to his words, he embarked on a mission to ensure justice and fairness by demolishing buildings that were illegally allocated by the previous government. This bold step was not without challenges, as legal issues from the court caused a temporary pause in the demolition process. However, Governor Yusuf remained resolute, assuring the people of Kano State that the temporary delay was due to small legal tussles and that progress would continue once resolved. This commitment to upholding the rule of law and fulfilling promises made him a promise keeper and beacon of hope for the people of Kano State.
Another standout initiatives of Governor Abba K. Yusuf's administration is the organization of mass weddings for divorcees, known as 'Auren Zawarawa.' This program as he said during the electioneering campaign and now that the preparation of the mass wedding is on top gear, is a continuation of the commendable efforts initiated by Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and is a testament to Governor Yusuf's commitment to improving the lives of marginalized members of society. By allocating funds specifically for this endeavor, the governor showcased his determination to uplift and empower vulnerable women, solidifying his position as a leader who genuinely cares about the welfare of the people.

While Governor Abba K. Yusuf has made significant strides in fulfilling his promises of demolitions which earned him the name 'Abba Mai Rusau' and also the much anticipated mass weddings, there remains an outstanding commitment that he has yet to fully address – providing 100% free education from primary to higher institutions.
During his election campaign, Governor Abba Yusuf advocated for equal opportunities in education, promising to eliminate financial barriers so that every child would have the chance to pursue their dreams.

The good people of Kano state have been eagerly anticipating the fulfillment of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's promise of free education from primary to higher institutions. While the recent decision to slash 50% of fees for students in all higher institutions is a step in the right direction, it falls short of the expectations set during the election campaign, and I deem it fit and necessary to remind Governor Abba K. Yusuf and emphasize the importance of fulfilling the promise of 100% free education and address concerns raised by the public. While recent reports state that fees for higher education have been reduced by 50%, this falls short of the initial promise.

During the electioneering campaigns, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf pledged to prioritize education and ensure free education for all in Kano state. This promise was not made casually, but rather backed by a comprehensive blueprint that was shared with the people. It generated hope and belief in a future where every child, regardless of financial constraints, could access quality education.
The decision to slash the fees by 50% still leaves a significant burden on the shoulders of students and their families. Many households are struggling to make ends meet, and the cost of education remains a significant barrier for them. By providing 100% free education, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf would alleviate the financial burden and create equal opportunities for all Kano state residents to pursue their dreams.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf emphasized the importance of fulfilling promises made during campaign periods. Therefore, it is crucial for him to fulfill the promise of free education in order to maintain credibility and the trust of the people. The people of Kano state voted for him based on the belief that he would create positive change and prioritize the welfare of the masses. It is equally important for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to also fulfill this promise of providing 100% free education in Kano State.
While there might be challenges in implementing 100% free education, such as financial constraints and logistics, it is crucial for the government to find innovative solutions. Examples of possible approaches include alternative sources of funding, public-private partnerships, and minimizing leakages in the education system. Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf's commitment to block all leakages of bribery and corruption indicates his determination to overcome these challenges and provide free education to the people of Kano state.

Voters chose Governor Abba based on his intended goals, including the promise of free education from primary to higher institutions. Therefore, it is crucial that Governor Abba stays true to his word and ensures that this promise is fulfilled, as he has been known for fulfilling promises in the past, and it is expected that he will continue to do so in this case as well.
In conclusion, Governor Abba K. Yusuf has proven himself to be a leader who strives to fulfill his promises. From demolishing illegally allocated structures and buildings to organizing mass weddings for divorcees, he has showcased his dedication to implementing positive change. However, it is vital to continue pushing for the fulfillment of the promise of free education for all. By providing equal access to education, Governor Yusuf has the opportunity to transform the lives of countless children and empower the future of Kano State. The good people of Kano state deserve the fulfillment of the promise made by the Governor during his election campaign.

By providing 100% free education, the governor would not only fulfill his promise but also foster equal opportunities for all residents of Kano state to pursue their education dreams. The time has come for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to stand by his words and make free education a reality in Kano stat and ensuring a brighter future for all.
