It is a new dawn for Northern Nigeria as the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) unanimously appointed Wazirin Dutse Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu as the Chairman of Board of Trustees.

I extend my warmest congratulations to Wazirin Dutse on his appointment BOT Chairman of the ACF. This well-deserved recognition is a testament to his incredible leadership skills, vast experience, and unwavering commitment to the development and unity of the Arewa region.

Born in Dutse, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu's journey to this pivotal position has been marked by numerous achievements and contributions to society. Educated at Rumfa College, Kano, he went on to obtain his law degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, before pursuing further studies in London. His academic pursuits were only the beginning of an illustrious career that would transcend both public service and private practice.

Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu's commitment to public service is exemplified by his sojourn in private, public and legal sectors where he  rose to the rank of the Chairman Body of Benchers as well as a Life Bencher of the noble profession. His dedication and valuable contributions did not go unnoticed, as he was bestowed with the traditional title of Wazirin Dutse. (Chief adviser to His Royal Highness the Emir of Dutse)

During his public service career, Wazirin Dutse has taken oath of office 4 times; first as the Minister of Transport and Aviation under Late Chief Ernest Shonekan interim government, served as a Minister of Power and Steel and later Minister of Internal affairs under Late Gen. Sani Abacha Military Regime and also reappointed Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during Gen. Abdulsalam Abubakar Regime, his reputation earned him the respect and recognition of serving this country under 3 Heads of State.

He was appointed as the Chairman of NNDC, a Northern Nigerian State's owned company, and later the Pro-Chancellor Moddibo Adama University of Technology, Yola, which further signifies his invaluable contributions to national development and chaired Nigeria Pro-Chancellors committee. Throughout his tenure, he proved himself to be a visionary leader with a deep understanding of governance and the needs of the people. His accomplishments in public office have left an indelible mark on the Nigerian political landscape.

The Waziri's leadership qualities transcend political boundaries. His appointment as Chairman of the ACF's Board of Trustees is a testament to his ability to unite diverse interests for the betterment of the Northern region. It is our belief that under his astute guidance, the ACF will continue to play a critical role in fostering unity, promoting socio-economic development, and addressing the challenges faced by the people of the region.

Once again, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu on his appointment as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum. His exceptional track record of public service, leadership acumen, and deep concern for the welfare of the people make him the ideal person for the role. I am confident that with his guidance, the ACF will continue to evolve as a force of unity and progress in the Arewa region.
