THE CALL FOR FAIRNESS & JUSTICE FOR HON. ALHASSAN ADO DOGUWA

Unveiling the Politics of Persecution: An Unjust Targeting of Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa - Haruna Abubakar Bebeji
Introduction:
In recent times, Nigerian politics has been marred by a series of politically motivated persecutions, often targeting opposition members. One such case that has raised concerns and sparked outrage is the ongoing persecution of Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a dedicated and respected politician at the House of Representatives level. This unfounded and unjustifiable targeting by the current administration raises serious questions about the state of democracy and fairness in our beloved nation.

The Legacy of Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa:
Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a prominent member of the 10th Assembly, has continuously demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his constituents and the Nigerian people. Representing the Tudun Wada/Doguwa constituency, he has proven himself as a competent lawmaker whose service transcends political affiliations. His remarkable achievements and dedication to his people have undeniably endeared him to the hearts of his constituents.
A History of Fabricated Charges:
It is important to note that Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa has previously been cleared of all charges levelled against him by the Kano State Government, under Ganduje's administration. These charges included criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, and causing grievous hurt to innocent people during the general elections. The judicial process, which found him innocent, should have put an end to these allegations. However, the current Governor, Abba Yusuf, is seeking to re-introduce and re-arraign him on these cleared charges, which reeks of political persecution.

Political Motives Behind the Persecution:
It is evident that the ongoing persecution of Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa is politically motivated, strategically designed to silence him and undermine his political influence. As an opposition member loved and respected by his constituents, his political strength poses a threat to the ruling party in Kano State. This campaign of persecution is nothing but an attempt to weaken his reputation and legacy built through years of dedicated service.
The Threat to Democracy and Justice:
The persecution of opposition members is not only an assault on democracy but also a grave infringement on the principles of justice. Such actions send a chilling message to those who dare to challenge the status quo, effectively stifling opposition voices and democratic debate. It is a deeply troubling trend that calls into question the integrity of our political system.

The Call for Fairness and Justice:
As concerned citizens and advocates for democracy, it is imperative for us to stand against any form of political persecution that threatens the fabric of our society. The current administration's attempts to undermine the reputation of Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa must be met with resistance and a demand for transparency and fairness.

Conclusion:
Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa's exemplary record as a public servant cannot and should not be undermined by baseless and politically motivated accusations. The ongoing persecution against him serves as a reminder that our democracy is still vulnerable to those who seek to manipulate it for their own gain. It is our collective responsibility to condemn such actions and demand justice, fairness, and a return to the true principles of democracy in our great nation.
