After a successful presidential election victory in February 2023, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on May 29, 2023. As Nigerians look forward to a new dawn under the All Progressives Congress-led administration, it is essential to evaluate Tinubu’s first 14 days as President.

In the Nigerian political sphere, there is no harder job than being the ruler of the most populous African country. The weight of expectations, the challenges that require immediate attention, and the pressure to make good on campaign promises all coalesce to form a formidable test of leadership.

This is the reality of the situation that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu faces in his first 14 days of office. In this short period, he has taken decisive steps to address longstanding challenges, both in terms of economic stability and political reforms.
